Frequently Asked Questions
The therapeutic journey is a path of discovery and healing. Below you will find answers to common questions about working together, from the modalities of depth therapy to the logistical steps of beginning your path toward wholeness.
The Archetypal Path
What is depth psychotherapy and who is it for?
Depth work is a path of depth that invites the unconscious to speak through symbols, archetypes, and dreams. Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, we look for the soul's movement behind the struggle. It is for those who feel a pull toward something truer, ready to move beyond clinical labels into the rich territory of their own psyche to find wholeness. In my practice I bring a Jungian-informed lens to therapy, meaning symbolic, imaginal, and depth-oriented approaches are woven into our work together, even within a standard therapeutic framework.
Is this approach right for me?
If you find yourself curious about the symbols that appear in your life, or if you feel that traditional talk therapy has only touched the surface, depth work may be the container you need. This work is for individuals who value creativity, spirituality, and the quiet intelligence of the psyche, and who are ready to engage in a respectful collaboration to uncover their authentic self.
Focus & Modalities
Why do we meet weekly for depth work?
The psyche requires a consistent, reliable container to shift. Weekly sessions establish a rhythm that allows us to move beyond surface-level updates and descend into the deeper layers of your personal myth where transformation occurs.
What is the role of Dream Work and Sandplay?
These modalities offer non-verbal pathways for the unconscious to be heard. By decoding symbolic dreams and engaging in tactile creation in the sand tray, we bridge the gap between your awareness and the hidden depths of the psyche.
How do you support trauma processing and couples?
I integrate EMDR for traumaprocessing, helping process stored distress at a physiological level. For pairs, I utilize the Gottman Method, blending structure with soul work to foster profound relational insight and safety.
Logistics & Pricing
What are your session fees and meeting frequency?
Individual therapy is $140 per 55-minute session and couples therapy is $180 per 55-minute session. To honor the depth of this work, we meet weekly. This frequency allows us to move beneath surface-level catch-ups into meaningful psyche work.
Do you accept insurance?
I am in-network with Aetna and Cigna for individual therapy. For those with other providers or facing financial hardship, I hold a limited number of sliding scale spots based on need and availability.
What is your cancellation policy?
Reliability is a cornerstone of our therapeutic vessel. I require at least 24 hours notice for any session cancellations or rescheduling requests to avoid the full session fee.
How do I get started?
Please reach out via the consultation form on this site. To protect the focus and integrity of the clinical space, I do not process new inquiries through phone, text, or social media.
